Panda Peanut Butter Sandwich

panda sandwich

My princess is not a rice eater so having a sandwich in our house is a must. It serves as her carb. To prevent “sawa or umay” we have different spreads. Peanut butter is her favorite especially Lily’s Peanut Butter. I also create different shapes for it to be pleasing to the eyes to eat. Today I will be making a Panda Peanut Butter Sandwich. To start here are the ingredients and tools we need:

gardenia

Ingredients:

Sandwich- we like gardenia because it’s big, thick and soft

Peanut butter-as a kid my mom always buy Lily’s Peanut Butter. In Filipino term “Eto na yung nakagisnan.”

Banana- at least a slice of one fruit in her snack box

Favorite donut

Tools:

Cupcake liners

Food pick

Bread knife

Panda shape sandwich cutter

Procedure:

  1. Press the sandwich cutter to the bread to leave an imprint and cut away any excess.
  2. Spread a generous amount of peanut butter to the sandwich.
  3. Cut a small part of the banana and put it in a cupcake liner.
  4. In another cupcake liner, put the two donuts and insert the food pick of your choice.
  5. Arrange your bento.

I asked my daughter regarding her snack. I cannot believe it because she ate everything and her teacher  said that her “baon” is nice and healthy. She shared one of her donut including the food pick. Haha I think I will be buying another set of the food pick. You can also check out my instagram account @im_bentor for other bento creations.

Remember it is wise to Check and to Balance.
